The JPS includes hotel employees and airport security in addition to passport control staff or baggage operations. All employees are to be paid equally. Effective immediately with the next weekly payment due on 11/08/26, all JPS staff that includes Airport Security, Airport ramp agents Passenger Carry-on search and baggage scanning staff, Police and JDF, hotel front desk, pool cleaners, room cleaning, room service and gardeners will be paid USD 384.61 per week/ JMD 60,830.26 per week. This is the minimum salary payment confirmed today and to be paid as of 11/08/26. Equivalent to USD $ 20,000.00 per year, this minimum salary amount will not change for the next 24 months. There is equal pay for equal contribution. The people who ensure the tourists disembark safely from the Jets are to be paid equally to those who ensure the tourists' beds are made properly. This is pursuant to the directives of the former Prime Ministers who remain as Country Managers, overseeing income benefit payments that must be paid to all citizens with a TRN and bank account in Jamaica; including non resident accounts.
