The card is part of the financial reparations programme to compensate us for our ancestors' suffering in slavery. The card programme will continue after the first 2 year card programme. Due to the recent hurricane, Consular Services have been delayed in addition to other JPS services. As such the British Virgin Islands have come to assist and are already on the island to ensure passport delivery by May 6th, 2026. This is now extended to May 8th, 2026. They are doing the work and we will be helping. The JCF and JDF are now one unit for order in Jamaica. We maintain access to the system as JPS and will enjoy this access to help our people after the 24 hour assistance of our BVI compatriots is completed with their updates; whenever that may be. They handle.passport issuance. We manage local government matters usually addressed through the Tax Office or the Court. All Jamaican citizens who applied for a passport in the last 4 years and have not received them are being assisted now with expedited delivery. So, we must show them that we can be trusted to do the work and to have the access to get it done. The Jamaica CR Card is to work with the Jamaica benefits app and Jamaica bank account. Bank account info will appear on the app. Former Prime Minister PJ Patterson who is now also Chancellor Emeritus at UWI says, "...We have had our storms but maybe not one as big as this last one. We have barely survived. In this survival, we took a good look at what we must do, what we really want and have bought back our ownership of Jamaica; but with various international partnerships that includes the UK and the US, Japan and the Swiss. We have maintained some of our independence in spite of these agreements. Yet, some of this money is being used to finance well needed infrastructure for the future. Imagine taking the new rail service to Church in Montego Bay. You arrive there in 40 minutes from Kingston. I saw this video of modern rail services in Japan covering all the small towns and this is what we had once. So we will do it again using the newest Japanese rail cars, the hydrogen fuel cell locomotives also to ensure eco friendly preservation of our island. With everything else, we will make it simple since if we are many out of one people, the many or the one will still need his daily bread and butter and every day. You will all have a card with an App to manage your benefits. The passports are to be delivered by May 6th, 2026; now extended to May 8th, 2026. The monies in total will not be paid to these partner nations until the passports are delivered. Only a portion is paid to facilitate the delivery." Everyone of us will enjoy our labours. We are right here.

The governing authorities will issue the passports. In their direction, current JPS will assist. They have a provisional pardon available that enables them to complete any work requested. The pardon will be finalised after the work is completed. The CR (Charles Rex) insignia appears on the back of the passports; at the bottom lower centre. The inside first two pages displays a collage of the former Prime Ministers of Jamaica and a note confirming the passport was designed by Warren Lyon, DPM.
The Office of the DPM is working, somewhat, as a go-between so if you see it happening, it is what we, in the older generation, have communicated. We are not the last in the class or in the track and field so when it comes to economies and public services, we will not be the last but the head and not the tail."
This new benefit card will be available to everyone who qualifies and will have a two year expiry date. You are a Jamaican with ID to confirm the same or you are a Jamaican aboriginal, living in Jamaica who may be sleeping rough but known to the community pastors and officers and has no formal ID. A mugged traveller does not qualify but we may help such persons as a matter of public safety.
