Click here: This Just in: the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus will be offering a Tourism Management program that will be offered as a Diploma; in English. The Diploma will be useful in any careers involving tourism, food and hospitality management, business management or travel and will be sponsored by Tour operators such as Sun Wing and Air Canada, Air Transat and West Jet. Academic sponsors include the University of Wisconsin at Madison and also Sheridan College in Canada; as proposed. As a student in the program, you will take the opportunity to learn all you can while travelling on one of these carriers. Classes will be conducted online and also in class at the University of the West Indies in Kingston. It is a three month program. Every hotel or all inclusive reservation with the details of what is offered per reservation is a binding contract that confirms the guest's expectations as to what they paid for and also the photo of the rooms and resort on the website constitute the offer. The reservation indicates an in-suite bar; for example. There is mention of an in-suite bathroom with shower or bathtub or both. This is important since you need to know when some clients want a bathtub. Some tourist hotels do not offers them sometimes these days. The photos of the room indicate an in suite bar. This is not unlike registering for college and paying tuition where It must clarify how many courses are covered and included in the full time tuition and some courses may have additional cost add-ons for materials in programs such as engineering. The college should not be attempting to find out who is dyslexic at the College front desk with a lack of clarity on the College website as to the fees where one administrator says that the College will take what it will take from any fool. That is intent to commit fraud. The students do talk. But the specification of full time tuition is sacred. What does it include? What does your vacation reservation booking include? We need to read the offer carefully and select all options or deselect unwanted options carefully. Much of the course will be to review this contract issue and how to resolve problems in a customer accommodation scenario hoping to find them reasonably happy during and after their stay. Much of this is to ask what did they pay and for what based on their reservation? It says flights to and from the resort are included. It says it is an all inclusive resort; not half catering. As such, you are expecting essentially 24 hour food service or at least 3 meal sittings during your stay if it is all inclusive; with the 24 hour food service being very popular.

As such, much of it will be based on the laws impacting tourism; in particular contract law and the horrible costs and charges that an airline must pay for lost or stolen passenger property in addition to how they manage such claims.  Tour operator insurance will also be covered and how this is necessary in all tickets and reservations.  Then there will be practical experience on a resort called the Grand Muthu in Runaway Bay and then also at the Rok Hotel in Kingston for the time being.  Other resorts may be added eventually.  You will get some experience as you apprentice with bonded current JDF employees in the lobby, front desk check in, bar, buffet dining area, kitchen and house keeping, room service and with  grounds keepers.  You will be staying in the hotels also on discounted rates at approximately $32.00 USD per day; no more than $33.00 USD per day.

We need program coordinators who will finalise electronic printing and packaging of course  materials be delivered electronically and also some teaching and presentation with hotel staff providing oral discussion concerning their experiences will take place in the hotel board rooms.  Refreshments will be provided.  Breakfast is included if you book and stay at the hotel for the entirety of the three month training program. It is suggested as part of the program. The billeting hotels are the Pegasus and the Rok Hotel in Kingston. It is a  three month program.  You can pay for your three month stay all at once. The tuition fee for the 3 months per student is $1350.00.  The program will take 200 students per 3 month semester; 100 at the Muthu and 100 at the Rok Hotel/Pegasus Hotel,
