You must decide who you were historically before entering into a Time magazine article.  We know Black people owned slaves in the West Indies and in America.  We also know that there are Black Astronauts, bomber staff and pilots in this world.  We also know there were Black Judges at the United States Supreme Court. There are Black Judges at the United States Supreme Court today.  Before you enter the news, you need to decide not only who can be but who you were 300 years ago.  You have no proof of who were three hundred years ago, so why decide the worst?  Decide who you are today and who your children can be. Why make your children suffer for the way in which you were raised?  This says a lot about who you are and how you see yourself.   You are free.  You can participate and follow the school rules or you can risk your mother's support and tuition and cheat.  You can also spend your whole life resenting a Black person who realized that they do not let the white people graduate if they do not do the work.  Just schedule your time and do the work.  Tell yourself, make yourself your lecturer's student.
